ABOUT OUR RESEARCH STUDY |
|
LDNS research: The Language Development in Noonan Syndrome (LDNS) project is an ongoing research study conducted by researchers at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The purpose of this project is to increase our understanding of language abilities of children and young adults with NS and determine how these skills relate to other areas of development. We hope to pinpoint areas of strength and weakness in language and learning among groups of individuals with NS (information about individuals is not made available). Additionally, this project may also provide more general information about how medical and genetic factors affect language development. So far, we have collected data from nearly 50 families of children and young adults with Noonan syndrome. In order to complete the study, we still need an additional 40 families to participate! If you or your child have NS and are between the ages of 1-25, please visit our participation page to learn about how to get involved in our research!
