LCNL students participating in summer programs

We have great news and exciting summer plans to share!

Mark Koranda received a fellowship to to study sign language linguistics at the Lingusistics Society of America‘s summer institute. The institute will be held July 5th to August 1st, 2017 at the University of Kentucky.

Steve Schwering and Elise Hopman have won fellowships to attend the Kavli Summer Institute in Cognitive Neuroscience. The 2017 Kavli Summer Institute will be held in Santa Barbara, CA from June 26 through July 7. This year’s topics include Computational Perspectives on Language Prediction in the Brain and Computational Perspectives on the Brain in Psychiatric and Neurological Disorders.

Teresa Turco has been accepted the University of Delaware’s Summer Workshop in Cognitive and Brain Science. The two-week, intensive undergraduate workshop will take place June 5 through 16. Teresa has also been selected to remain at the University of Delaware for the remainder of the summer to do research. She will be working with Dr. Jim Hoffman’s Visual Cognition Lab.
